The vineyards in Nocciano are laid out around the winery covering an area of 15 hectares at an altitude of 200-250 metres. Here the land has a high clay content and is rich in trace elements, creating its sub-alkaline reaction.

It goes from north-facing hilly terrain, rich in clay and limestone where we grow the Trebbiano, Pecorino and Malvasia varieties, as well as our selection of an old native variety, Bombino. Then there are flat clayey-sandy plots with 5-10% stone content, through to hilly soil rich in clay and silt facing southeast, where we grow Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.

The farm in Loreto Aprutino is divided into two bodies each 6 hectares large. One side, growing Montepulciano, is located at an altitude of 300-350 metres on the south-east facing slope of a clayey-sandy hill with a high salt content, as seen by the presence of badlands in the surrounding area. The other side of the farm, at 400 metres, has a strong presence of limestone in the soil, and is located on a hill ridge with two plots: one facing north growing Trebbiano and one facing south with old Montepulciano d’Abruzzo plants using the ‘tendone’ method.

The farm in Casacanditella covers 11 hectares at an altitude of 300 metres, on a hill overlooking the valley of the Dendalo river. Here the soil is medium-textured and slightly sandy with high temperatures, given its proximity to the Majella mountain range and its southwesterly exposure. Here we grow the Trebbiano, Malvasia, Cococciola and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo varieties.
